TYPOLOGY OF DETERMINANT PARTS OF A SENTENCE IN MODERN LINGUISTICS

Abstract
The history of the establishment and development of a concept “determinant” in linguistics was studied in the paper. Linguistic nature of determinant members as independent extenders of a sentence was characterized, the status of near-sentence extenders in the structure of speech was determined, the major grammatical means, with the help of which determinant members express additional predication, were considered and analyzed. Semantic groups and sub-groups of determinant sentence members in the contemporary Ukrainian language were classified and described.
