Using of Modern Information Technologies in Libraries

Abstract
The meaning of information resources for library development is explained, especially their function in information processing, methods of using software products - computer library systems – are studied. The main objective of this study is to examine the practical application of new technologies for automation of libraries and output them to a new level. The article includes analysis of up-to-date information technologies application in libraries and describes services provided for users with the help of computer technologies. The main work directions of virtual library referral service are addressed and up-to-date library mission in conditions of society computerization is disclosed. The article studies implementation of up-to-date information technologies in library’s practice. Also, the main present time library tasks executed with the purpose to raise their work at the new level are considered.
