Abstract
Baroque ‘religious tourism’: ‘The Diary’ by Stanisław Samuel Szemiot. The present article focuses on the diary (Diariusz z podróży) of the baroque poet Stanisław Samuel Szmiot and his documentary (cognitive-historical) and practical (guide) functions. The work of the writer from Przegaliny shows the way of pilgrimaging to the holy places in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, as well as it more widely depicts the religious culture of that time.
