Abstract
This biographical essay reflects a long and distinguished tradition of cutting edge research of Professor Vasyl Botushanskyi, who turned 80 in December 2015, Doctor of History, one of the veterans of Historical Science of Yurii Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. The authors made an attempt to evaluate vast research of the scientist and professor (he published about 250 works) dedicated to agricultural history, social, political and cultural life. They deduced Vasyl Botushanskyis scientific expertise and found his works topicality to be particularly strong linked to the present times, the opportunity to use them in the educational process both at secondary and high school.
