VERBAL ASPECTS OF AGONAL PARAMETERS IN POLITICAL COMMUNICATION

Abstract
This article is devoted of agonalities as one of the basic parameters of political communication. The author suggests a review of scientific publications of general theoretical problems of political linguistics. A typology defining parameters of Ukrainian political communication, including the highlighted option of agonalities is presented. The agonal nature of the Ukrainian political discourse and analysis of sports vocabulary in aspects of political agonalities is defined. The common sports vocabulary and metaphors in political discourse are analyzed. An isolate thematic subgroups of the general sports vocabulary that is verbal expression agonalities are suggested. The mechanisms of metaphor sports vocabulary in Ukrainian political discourse are traced. Research is carried out on the material of media political issues.
