Abstract
Vesicular volvulus is a rare clinical entity, difficult for diagnosis on preoperatory circumstances. We present the case of a 74 year old patient, born and raised in Mérida. Patient comes to service with diffuse acute abdominal pain and signs of peritoneal irritation; was admitted for study and treatment for infectious acute surgical abdomen. An emergency exploratory laparotomy was performed and the patient was diagnosed for torsion of the gallbladder; cholecystectomy was performed
