Vibrations of Railroad Due to The Passage of The Underground Train
Journal Title: Archives of Transport - Year 2010, Vol 22, Issue 1
Abstract
In the paper we present results of vibration measurements in the train and on the base of the railroad in tunnels ofWarsaw Underground. Measurements were performed at straight and curved sections of the track. The paper is focused on the influence of the lateral slip in rail/wheel contact zone on the generation of vibrations and a noise. Vibrations were analyzed in terms of accelerations, velocities or displacements as a function of time and frequency. Results ware compared with the experiment of rolling of the wheel with lateral sleep. In both cases we observed double periodic oscillations.

The complex phenomenological model for prediction of inhomogeneous deformations of railway ballast layer after tamping works
The given article considers the method of calculating the track geometry deformation with respect to uneven accumulation of residual deformations along the track. The technique proposes two significant changes in existin...
VMS Parameters Impact on Safety and Reliability in Road Traffic Management
The topic of the variable message signs presented in this article was analysed in the aspect of proper choice of the light beam distribution angle. It was proven that the proper control of the beam is justified, dependin...
Estimation of the bus delay at the stopping point on the base of traffic parameters
Contemporary methods of spatial planning of urban transport systems provide for designers enough opportunities in selecting the placement of stopping points for public transport. However in every city there exist very in...
Semi-Markov Model of the Operation and Maintenance Process of City Buses
This paper presents a model of the operation and maintenance process of the technical objects within the urban transport bus system. All the investigations have been presented on the basis of the selected real operation...
Nonlinearity and Intermodulation Phenomena Tracking as a Method for Detecting Early Stages of Gear Failures
An understanding of vibroacoustic signal is required for the robust and more effective detection of early stage gear failure. In the paper the possibility and method of time varying vibration decomposition are discussed....
