Abstract
The article deals with the problem of domestic violence as a violation of the rights and legitimate interests of a person and a citizen of Ukraine. Among the causes of domestic violence, criminologists identify poverty, brawl, quarrels, regular family conflicts, alcoholism, drug addiction, prostitution, customs, traditions.
