VOLODYMYR SHUKHEVYCH’S ROLE IN THE ORGANIZATION OF UKRAINIAN MUZEOLOGY IN GALICIA

Abstract
Museological activity of well-known ukrainian scientist ethnographer Volodymyr Shukhevych is considered in the article. The scientist’s cooperation with V.Diduchytsky’s museums, the Shevchenko Scientific Society, the contribution in organization of various exhibitions which took place in Lviv and other cities and represented ukrainian ethnographic materials is characterized. In addition V.Shukhevych the most time and effort gave to organization of the National Museum in Lviv which was founded and developed thanks to Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky.
