War crimes as a serious violation of the Geneva conventions of the 1949 in the context of international criminal law.

Abstract
The types of war crimes in international criminal law are examined in the article. Special attention in the article is paid to the analysis of the composition of war crimes as serious violations of the Geneva Conventions of 1949, committed during international armed conflicts; other serious violations of the rules of international armed conflict; other serious violations of the rules of international armed conflict; serious violations of the Geneva Conventions of 1949 committed in non-international armed conflicts; other serious violations of the rules of conduct of non-international armed conflicts. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of international customary law concerning the qualification of war crimes committed during international and non-international armed conflicts.
