Władza rodzicielska ojca w świetle polskiej literatury pedagogicznej Oświecenia

Abstract
The article is focused on the roots of parental authority, legitimization of that dominion and noticeable stepping changes in this area in the Age of Enlightenment. Primarily research has been concentrated on position of father. In that period of time tradition of authority given by god had been confronted with new critical way of thinking. The need of new reasonable explanation had led to new solutions. Fathers authority has been weakened by its secularization but strengthened by newly written law and works of late Enlightenment writers. Position of fathers has been put disproportionally higher than those of mothers but secularization open new field of vulnerability for future critics.
