Abstract
The Greek Catholic Church (1791) located in Smolnik on the River San is a precious sign of former cultural landscape of Bieszczady. The church forfeited its keepers in 1951. In 1973, after 22 years of being unused, the church was taken over by the Roman Catholic parish in Lutowiska. Since then it has performed the function of the filial church. The present appearance of church is a result of renovations and conservation work which took place in 1969–1970, in 1970s, in 2004–2007 and in 2009. It was the huge challenge to save the old interior design of church and to adapt it to the requirements of the Latin Church liturgy.<br/><br/>
