Abstract

The professional and scientifi activities of Zygmunt Stanisław Spalke (1868–1943), a surgeon of Surgical Ward of the Common Hospital in Lvov, his thorough education in otology and rhinolaryngology in Vienna are presented with full particulars. His trials of formation of otolaryngological out-patients department and fist in Lvow otolaryngological ward in Common Hospital are depicted widely. The therapeutic activity of this Otolaryngological Ward in Common Hospital in Lvov in 1924–1928 is estimated finaly.
