A importância do planejamento, tratamento informacional e divulgação de acervos especiais: o caso do setor de coleções especiais da biblioteca central da UFES

Abstract
This study analyzes the situational context of the Special Collections section of the Central Library of the Federal University of EspÃrito Santo. The main objective of this research is to demonstrate the need for planning, organization and dissemination of that sector towards a better utility and use by the user community. Methodologically, investigations and interviews are conducted with the professionals from the space where the research was performed. In conclusion, the training and informational treatment of the collection have been established effectively. With regard to the disclosure of space and the consequent social use of collection, it has been conducted in an inglorious way, which arouses the need for intervention for possible changes, in order to promote the functionality of the space.
