A Study of Philosophy of History from Hegel’s Perspective

Abstract
In Hegel’s perception of philosophy history is a pivotal issue. In his view, history can be written in three forms: 1. Original history, 2. Reflective history, 3. Philosophical history or philosophy of history that is Hegel’s selected method. Reason governs the world thus global history is a rational and necessary flow not random. The subject of history is spirit. Spirit is conscious and free and becomes aware of its freedom in is historical process. Each nation has a spirit that a stage of fulfillment of the spirit of the world. The spirit of the world is driven forward by the enthusiasm of world’s people. They fulfill a new and higher stage of freedom and self-consciousness. Hegel divides the world history into oriental, classical and Germanic.
