Made the scientific and theoretical analysis of the administrative and legal status of a participant in hostilities in the East of Ukraine. Proved that the administrative and legal status of a participant in military hostilities is special. Analyzed the citizenship of Ukraine as a factor influencing on the status. Provided the author’s notion of the administrative and legal status of the participant in hostilities.
