CHEMICAL REACTIONS DURING EARTHQUAKES.ROCK MASSIF EXPLOSION AS A SOURCE OF SHOCKS, SUDDEN OUTBURSTS AND ROCK BURSTS
Journal Title: Вестник научного центра по безопасности работ в угольной промышленности - Year 2016, Vol 4, Issue
Abstract
The task of earthquake mechanism occurrence explanation and their forecast is included by the UN into top ten most important tasks of mankind. In this paper the theoretical explanation of earthquakes causes is given, regardless of their type and nature and a possible mechanism of underground shock formation is shown. The article shows the identity of the Earth's crust earthquake processes and of sudden outbursts in coal mines, indicating that this is a process that takes place in a rock massif as a result of spontaneous deformational explosion of the earth's crust rocks due to the rock pressure potential energy accumulation and the energy of chain chemical reaction of gases retained by the rock massif. The article shows the possibility of forecast and prevention of both earthquakes and sudden outbursts, and rock bursts due to the suppression of chain chemical reactions in the rock massif.
