CONFORTO E FUNCIONALIDADE: MODIFICAÇÕES NA MODELAGEM E NOS AVIAMENTOS DE PEÇAS DE VESTUÁRIO INFANTIL MASCULINAS

Abstract
This study started from the intention to design parts of clothing for male children, 1-5 year olds, that were practical to wear and contribute to their independence. The study was conducted during the design process of a children’s fashion collection addressing menswear, in 2014. It began mapping comfort and functionality needs in parts of clothing for male children by observing children in a child education school in the city of Imbé/ RS. After the experiment, the development process took place. The authors sought to change the configuration of parts of clothing, through changes in modeling and opting for functional trimmings for these parts. Finally, it was found that subtle changes in the parts provided convenience and comfort for those wearing them and that the mentioned changes could be easily incorporated into fashion projects with similar goals.
