CONTAMINATED PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN THE MASS MEDIA LANGUAGE (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF UKRAINIAN PRINTED AND ELECTRONIC PUBLICATIONS)

Abstract
The article deals with the essence of contaminations as the technique of the structural-semantic transformation of stable word combinations in the language of Ukrainian printed and electronic publications. Stylistic functions of contaminated phraseological units have been analyzed. Their emotionally expressive potential has been determined. The main emphasis is placed on the focused nature of the transformation. There have been identified some ways of joining phraseological units.
