Death Macabre The Dance of Death in Emily Dickinson’s Poetry

Abstract

Emily Dickinson’s special attention on death affected her poetry. What death means and to what extent her life twisted with death just can be achieved through reading her poems. Therefore, one can say that death dances masterfully on her poems. Moreover, the fluctuation meanings of death are depicted on Emily Dickinson’s poems This World is not a conclusion (501), It Was not Death for I Stood up (510), I’ve Seen a Dying Eye (547) and Because I Could not Stop for Death (712) that are investigated in this essay.
