DEVELOPMENT AND ITS KINDS OF MANIFESTATIONS

Abstract
The publication is devoted to the study of development as a complex economic category, as well as the study of specific manifestations of development. It is established that any socio-economic system has the ability to develop. Solving the problems of ensuring the dynamic development of enterprises requires the adoption of sound management decisions. In view of this, there is a need to clarify the conceptual and categorical framework, in particular, the in-depth study of the essence of development and its specific manifestations. The purpose of the article is to study approaches of domestic and foreign scientists to the essence of development as a process, the systematization of the main classification features, and the creation on this basis of the most complete classification of kinds of manifestations of development. The content analysis of definitions of the concept of “development” contained in the works of domestic and foreign scientists is conducted. It is established that for the description of the essence of development, scientists use the terms “process”, “movement”, “transition”, “improvement”, “progress”, “evolution”. It is substantiated that development, in essence, is a complicated process, the characteristics and characteristics of which vary according to the researcher’s point of view. The simplified, evolutionary, factor-driven, adaptive, cyclic, and combined approaches to understanding the essence of this concept are distinguished, the general characteristic of these approaches is given, advantages and disadvantages of each of them are determined. The complex approach to the understanding of the concept of development as an economic process is proposed. The main species manifestations of development are investigated. For this purpose, the classification features are studied. It is proposed to supplement the list of existing classification features with the sign “level of development”.
