DEVELOPMENT OF ENGINEERING THINKING IN THE PROCESS OF STUDYING MATHEMATICS

Abstract

The article deals with the study of higher mathematics engineering students in terms of competency approach in education. We consider the value of formal and practical approaches to the content of mathematical disciplines based on teaching professional direction of future engineers; the necessity to integrate mathematical and engineering disciplines. It has been discovered the impact of mathematics study on the development of engineering thinking.
