Diffuse Involvement Of The Posterior Spinal Cord In MRI Due To Vitamin B12 Deficiency: A Case Report
Journal Title: Journal of Neurological Sciences-Turkish - Year 2007, Vol 24, Issue 2
Abstract
In the literature, the spinal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) involvement of the patients with vitaminB12 (VitB12) deficiency and myelopathy has been reported mostly in the cervical and/or thoracic regions. However, in none of them the spinal cord was affected diffusely. We presented diffuse involvement of the posterior spinal cord from lower cervical level to conus medullaris in spinal MRI of a 71 year old male diagnosed as VitB12 deficiency.

Gadolinium Enhancement of Cerebrospinal Fluid on Flair Sequence in A Patient With Chronic Renal Failure
On Fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) sequence, the cerebrospinal fluid signal is nulled, allowing better analysis of adjacent tissue. In some pathologies such as subarachnoid haemorrhage, menengitis, and sagitt...
