DINAMICA POPULȚIEI JUDEȚULUI SATU MARE ÎN PERIOADA 1880-2011
Journal Title: Geographia Napocensis - Year 2015, Vol 0, Issue 2
Abstract
Population dynamics of Satu-Mare county during 1880-2011. Considering the year of 1880 as a starting point, the numeric evolution of the population of the county had a constant ascendant character for over a century (until 1989), resulting into more than the doubling of the number of the inhabitants, from 194.326, to 416.723. Subsequently, over just 22 years, a significant numeric involution takes place, the population of the county decreasing to 344.360 inhabitants (the census from 2011). The first direct cause is the substantial decrease of the birth rate (to 10,5‰, the mean rate of the 2001-2010 decade), and, as a consequence, of the natural balance (-2,3‰), and the second, the negative migratory remainder (-1,0‰, annual mean), with a more considerable input of the international emigration.
