DIRECTIONS OF IMPROVING EFFICIENCY OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC MECHANISM OF ENVIRONMENTALLY BALANCED FORESTRY

Abstract
Introduction. Сurrent development of the forestry system in Ukraine faces with a number of problems, such as ecological and economic problems that hamper the processes of improving the efficiency of forestry activities and hinder the transition to sustainable economic development. This, in turn, emphasizes the need to justify the directions of improving the functioning of the organizational and economic mechanism of ecologically balanced forest management in the direction of balancing ecological and economic interests, developing tools for motivation of forestry subjects to ecologically balanced forestry and improvement of technology of management of these processes. Methods. The methodological basis of the research is general theoretical methods of scientific knowledge, in particular, system and structural method for determining the content of structural elements of the organizational and economic mechanism of ecologically balanced forest management and also fundamental principles and principles of the economy of nature management and forestry. Results. The theoretical and methodological principles and practical suggestions of effective functioning of the elements of the organizational and economic mechanism of ecologically balanced forest management are substantiated. The system of criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of ecologically balanced forest management, taking into account the actual problems of forest management, is related to the maintenance of the value of wood and non-timber forest resources and services, social, ecological and economic aspects of the industry, and also features of domestic information support is proposed. Discussion. It is substantiated that public and private partnership is an effective organizational and economic form of ecological entrepreneurship in forestry, which allows attracting additional investment resources in the forestry sector while preserving the ecological and social significance of state-owned objects.
