Abstract
V.S. Pechkо. Diversification of production as a factor in boosting the economic efficiency of land use. This article addresses the problems of minimizing the risk during the assessment of efficiency of land use. Theoretical overview of the problems is performed, including overview of such concepts as “diversification of production” and “risk”. This research is aimed at assessing the impact of diversification on economic efficiency allowing for risk associated with prices and yield of crops. The author’s methodological approach is described; it allows considering the impact of price variability level and the yield on the economic efficiency of land use. Based on the data of agricultural enterprises of Kharkiv region, a risk-based earning yield of crop rotation was calculated. Analysis of the correlation of specialization ratio and the earning yield of crop rotation made it possible to establish that the earning yield value will be maximum at 0.378 specialization ratio Keywords: risk, diversification, efficiency, sustainability, specialization.
