Economic Determinants of Residential Market Development in Poland – Empirical Verification (Part II)

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to determine the year of the period considered when the combination of economic factors created the most favourable conditions for the development of the residential market in Poland. Implementation of the purpose required the application of taxonomic method of the synthetic pattern of the development and analysis of the rate of distancing or approaching to this pattern. The study period covers the years 2000-2012. It has been designated by the availability of suitably verified data. On the basis of the study it can be concluded that the smallest distance separating each of the years from the pattern was observed in 2008 (3.98). The combination of various economic factors created the most favourable conditions for the development of the housing market. It should be noted, however, that this result should be viewed in the context of lags typical for the real estate market. The largest distance, i.e. 7.95 divided the 2003 year from the pattern.
