EDUCATIONAL TEXTBOOK FROM UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE AS FOREIGN FOR LEARNING STUDENTS “CITY OF L’VIV” LEVEL B2 AS A BASIS LINGUISTIC-ETHNOGRAPHIC BOOK

Abstract
Considered and analyzed the textbook on the Ukrainian language as a foreign language for foreign students “City of L’viv” level B2. The attention is focused on the linguistic-ethnographic aspect of the book, the history of the city and its traditions. A look at helping foreign students learn about new lexical material, consolidating acquired oral and written skills and grammatical models, getting acquainted with Ukrainian songs, famous figures of Ukraine and the spiritual life of the nation. The article covers the B2 level of Ukrainian as a foreign language in accordance with standardized requirements in four language competences. The use of linguistic methods in the teaching of the Ukrainian language involves engaging in a dialogue of cultures (foreign and native); awareness of the essence of the phenomena of the Ukrainian language and their comparison with the native language; ability to study (work with a book, a textbook, reference literature, dictionaries, etc.). Foreign citizens who acquire higher technical education in Ukraine at the Lviv Polytechnic National University are studying the Ukrainian language as a means of communication. Ukrainian language is needed for them both to meet their own communicative needs and for professional communication. That is why the author’s team has developed a textbook on the Ukrainian language as a foreign language for students of foreigners level В2 “City of Lion”. It corresponds to all “Standardized requirements for the levels of proficiency in Ukrainian as a foreign A1 – C2”, approved by the decision of the Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, protocol dated May 22, 2018 No 5 / 1-7.
