Abstract
The article analyzes six narratives published in “Jornal das Famílias” [“Family Journal”] between 1863 and 1878. The narratives bought to the discussion have the plot housed in Brazilian Literature can just be assembly if the writers dedicate thenselves to the landscapes and habits of the interior regions. Following the search for the construction of the Brazilian identity, the narratives here presented permt fo comprehend that the influence to create a national literature characterized the 19 century and circulated among several groups, including the “Jornal das Famílias” [“Family Journal”], destinated to the feminine public reader.
