English phraseologisms with culinary component in modern ethnoaxiology.

Abstract
The article studies the ethnoaxiological direction of investigating phraseologisms with a culinary component in the Modern English language. The article researches the value picture of the world of the English linguo-culture, analyzing the whole corpus of the English culinary phraseologisms. The article singles out the value dominants that make up the foundation for the value picture of the world of the Englishmen. Ethnoaxilolgy is a linguocultural direction that determines modern linguistic studies. Axiology is a study about values as senses and criteria of evaluating natural phenomena, society and culture. The key notions of ethnoaxiololgical approach are evaluation, value, the value sense. The issue of ethnoaxiololgical approach to the cognition of culinary phraseololgisms is open and determines the topicality of the given research. The aim of the article is to describe the main issues of axiological approach to the means of investigation of culinary phraseologisms. The tasks of the given research are the following: 1) to establish the role of ethnoaxilological approach to the study of the English culinary phraseological units; 2) to classify the value dominants, verbalized through phraseololgisms; 3) to build the value picture of the English linguo-community. The article lists the main value dominants verbalized through culinary phraseololgisms. It is postulated that a system of values of the society finds its reflection in the language picture of the world of all members of the ethnoculture and established in the language like phraseological units. A set of the value dominants creates a certain type of the culture that is maintained in the language and is transferred from generation to generation. While studying the value picture of the world reflected in the English language we used the following scholastic statements: the value picture of the world is a manifestation of the semantic law according to which all important phenomena and things have the detailed nomination. The value picture of the world is reconstructed in evaluations, morality codes that are verbalized through language and phraseologisms in particular.
