Financial institutions subject to the Law of Ukraine «On Consumer Lending»

Abstract
The article is devoted to the definition and analysis of a range of financial institutions that have the legal status of a lender in con- sumer lending relationships and are covered by the Law of Ukraine «On Consumer Lending». The author draws attention to the problems of determining financial institutions that are subject to the Law «On Consumer Crediting», and ways to resolve them. The author concludes that a special legal personality distinguishes financial institution with the legal status of a lender among other financial institutions in consumer lending relations. It is proposed not to narrow, but gradually expand the circle of persons co- vered by the scope of the Law «On Consumer Crediting» on the way of adaptation of the Ukrainian legislation in the field of consumer crediting with the EU legislation.
