Formation of Professionally Oriented Foreign Language Competences for Higher Education Graduates

Abstract
The article deals with the issues of preparation for foreign language applicants for higher education in the specialty «Pharmacy». It is noted that today there are new requirements for the study of foreign languages. Levels of English proficiency and related requirements are considered: Breakthrough or А1, Waystage or А2, Threshold or В1, Vantage or В2, Effective Operational Proficiency or С1 and Mastery or С2. At the same time, on the example of the ^ational University of Pharmaceutical, the structure of the course «English language» and «English language in proficiency» are analyzed. The general goal of teaching and learning a practical English course for future pharmacists is to prepare students for effective communication in their professional environment. Therefore, the program suggests that communicative language competences will be formed for adequate behavior in real academic and professional life situations. The language competences that students of the specialty «Pharmacy» have to possess after studying the practical course «English language» are determined. As a result of studying the practical course «English language», students have to know appropriate linguistic competencies: grammatical competence as the knowledge and ability to use the grammatical resources of the language is considered as a holistic mechanism for the implementation of communication tasks in the given situation; semantic competence, which examines the ability of students to understand and control the organization of content, integrates into the development of speech communicative competence; phonological, spelling and orphoepic competences are formed only to the extent necessary for oral and written communication within the professional environment; socio-cultural competence is aimed at developing understanding and interpretation of various aspects of culture and linguistic behavior in the professional environment; professional communicative competence is formed in listeners for real professional spheres and situations.
