Abstract
The article is focused on the analysis of the legal status of a child within the works of national and foreign researchers. As a result of the fulfilled work, the author has made the conclusion that the legal status of a child is a complex system, which is a derivative of the general and legal status of a person and reflects the place of a child in the legal field of the life and interconnections with others and the state.
