Histopathological study of cystic lesions of ovary in hysterectomy specimen

Abstract
Ovarian lesions are a common gynecological cause of medical and surgical treatment. The current study analyses the spectrum of cystic lesions of ovary in reproductive, peri-menopausal and post-menopausal age group. Cystic lesions will be categorized into functional (non-neoplastic) / neoplastic and if neoplastic further categorized as benign /borderline / malignant. Out of the 112 cases of cystic lesions of ovary in the present study majority of the cystic lesions of ovary encountered in reproductive age group are non-neoplastic lesions (59%) and follicular cysts were more common (97%).
