IAR-93 military aircraft monument
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
In this presentation, we will concentrate on the vertical support, which is free from all sides. A Finite Element Model (FEM) of the IAR-93 aircraft monument has been developed in PATRAN/NASTRAN®, partly from a previous ANSYS® model FEM can be used to investigate potential structural modifications or changes in column monument with realistic component corrections. Model validation should be part of every modern engineering analysis and quality assurance procedure.

Analytical solutions of the simplified Mathieu’s equation
Consider a second order differential linear periodic equation. The periodic coefficient is an approximation of the Mathieu’s coefficient. This equation is recast as a first-order homogeneous system. For this system we ob...
Multifunctional composites and nanocomposites with applications in the aerospace industry
Polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) ,namely, nanoparticles dispersed in a polymer matrix, have garnered academic and industrial interest since 1990. This is due to the very attractive properties of nanostructurated fillers, a...
Direct spatial motion simulation of aircraft subjected to engine failure
This paper presents a simulation of the movement of an aircraft that has an engine malfunction. The nonlinear equations of motion are formulated taking into account the yawing moment which is generated and occurs due to...
Integral Method for Structural Analysis of Beams with Bending-Torsion Coupling
This paper deals with structural static or stability analysis of straight beams, when the bending-torsion coupling is considered. A practical case is the lateral buckling analysis of high cross-section beams which involv...
Adaptive Method Using Controlled Grid Deformation
The paper presents an adaptive method using the controlled grid deformation over an elastic, isotropic and continuous domain. The adaptive process is controlled with the principal strains and principal strain directions...
