[i][b]Is Property “Sacred”? David Hume’s Quasi-Contractual Genesis of Property[/b][/i]

Abstract
The author presents Hume’s vision on the genesis of property and points out that its empirical analysis had to induce to accept Locke’s conclusions concerning the social role of property. The text starts off with a presentation of the fundamental methodological differences between two analysed systems. Subsequently it moves on to a description of the principles that define the social function of property and points out the concurrency of the conclusions found in Locke’s and Hume’s work.
