IDEA OF EQUALITY OF WOMEN AND MEN: HISTORICAL ANALYSIS (MODERN HISTORY)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the historical analysis of the idea of gender equality in the period of the emergence of the liberal ideas of the New Time, when women talked loudly about their rights for the first time and the subsequent times of democratic transformations, in particular in gender relations. The main historical stages of development and formation of the idea of equality of women and men are considered. As a result of the research, the author found that the conceptual foundations of the legal equality of women and men are laid by the liberal feminism of the 19th century. This movement “creates" conditions for the formation of new paradigms of the 20th century, which are based on the principle of equality, primarily of a gender nature.
