Identification de novo motif and sequence alignment studies on the (Liver cancer -STA13, Lung cancer-CHRNA5 and Colon cancer-MLH1) using In silico protocols

Abstract

Worldwide, as of 2010, liver cancer resulted in 754,000 deaths, up from 460,000 in 1990, making it the third leading cause of cancer death after lung and stomach. Globally, lung cancer is the most common cancer among men in terms of both incidence and mortality, and among women has the third highest incidence, and is second after breast cancer in mortality. Globally more than 1 million people get colorectal cancer every year resulting in about 715,000 deaths as of 2010 up from 490,000 in 1990. In this project we used advanced Insilico tools for molecular similarity idnetification. Our results clearly elucidate how the different cancer proteins share a genetic relationship among themselves. This work could be extended in future for drug designing protocols. Hence, the results of the project work could be of benefit for clinical pharmacology studies in future.
