Inski Landscape Park – a proposal for new tourist trails

Abstract
Inski Landscape Park situated 70 km off Szczecin and Stargard Szczeciński boasts numerous advantages encouraging the development of tourism, recreation and school sports. Of vital importance are its natural conditions due to the highly varied relief, numerous lakes and forests which create a specific climate and local microclimate. The park area has easily accessible recreation and tourist sites. Tourist trails marked out several years ago are too long and boring, they omit the most attractive sites, simply, they neither meet the expectations of a modern tourist nor provide ecological and landscape education. These drawbacks discourage tourists from visiting the place. The paper offers new trails for hiking, cycling, water sports and ecological education. The trails were marked out following the geomorphologic analysis of the area and its natural conditions. The paths go through varied landscapes, via places with monuments and accommodation facilities. Cycling trails were so designed as to enable the tourists to take a rest and do the sightseeing of places of interest. The trails provide the possibility of a detailed sightseeing of the most attractive nature features of the Insko area. They can also be used for outdoor classes in PE and other subjects – and that’s why they both begin and end at Insko school building.
