Journal Title: Zeszyty Naukowe Wyższej Szkoły Bankowej w Poznaniu - Year 2018, Vol 81, Issue 4
Abstract
The aim of this article is to systematize the theoretical knowledge about the internationalization of enterprises and to present statistical information describing the phenomenon. The considerations are divided into two parts: theoretical and empirical. The first part, based on the review of literature, describes the main characteristics of the internationalization process in the context of the company’s development and competitiveness, as well as selected forms of internationalization. The second part is based on statistical data, mostly provided by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, about the economic activity of Polish companies in international markets in the last few years.
