ISLAMIST RADICALISM AS A FACTOR OF DESTABILIZATION OF THE WORLD POLITICAL SITUATION

Abstract
World religions are increasingly intruding into the political process, and it is quite naturally that certain political elites use them as an ideological coverage for their political objectives. Also a destructive potential of various religious organizations and movements appears more frequently. The appearance of religious factor and religious radicalism in political life makes their understanding necessary and actual from a political perspective. Global Jihad, whose doctrine has changed over the years and found outlines today of an alternative project of the world reconstruction, is not just a Muslim issue, which can be solved within the theological debate or reforms of the Muslim world. Therefore, first of all relevance of the topic is determined, by the serious nature of the threat that comes from Islamist terrorism today. Sec-ondly, Islamist terrorism is a global phenomenon, however, it has its local specifics. It means that each regional inci-dent requires a separate consideration. The combination of these characteristics demands an integrated approach to research of the given phenomenon. Besides, manifestations of Islamic terrorism in the western countries has big conse-quences for world politics, than his manifestation in the Muslim world, and, therefore, they deserve separate detailed studying.
