Abstract

Rev. Józef Czesław Chryzostom Małysiak SDS devoted his priestly and religious life to mission and retreat activities. The fruit of his missionary work was giving 1357 series of missions and retreats. He regarded holy missions as important means of religious and moral revival. He pointed out that it is a beneficial time, during which we can reconcile ourselves with God, change our lives, regain the inner peace and joy of life. To be able to fulfil the abovementioned objectives of the mission, in 1933 he created a textbook of a missionary – preacher at retreats, for Salvatorians of the Polish province. This textbook includes all the recommendations concerning preparation and conducting of the holy missions.
