LINGUISCULTUROLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF THE CONCEPT "HONOR"

Abstract
The article explores the linguistic and cultural parameters of the concept of "honor". The data used were dictionaries, literature sources, journalism, an associative experiment was conducted. The article singles out and analyzes language representatives of the concept "honor", establishes the associative and semantic potential of the concept, examines the role of the concept in the national picture of the world, determines the direction of further research. It is elicited that the personal form of honor and the collective form of honor are the most characteristic for the professional activity, and these forms are manifested in professional value spaces, that correlate with dignity, respect, glory (collective honor is manifested in non-standard situations, either when dignified activity or dignified deeds have an extremely high value, or in one of non-personified insult of some institutionalized group, i.e. when national dignity of religious affiliation are endangered), as well as forms of honorable attitude in business communication manifestation forms.
