MARIAN VECHISTY IS THE FIRST PROFESSOR OF BALL-ROOM DANCE IN LVIV

Abstract
Corner-stone in the Art of dancing in Lviv is the individual of Marian Vechisty, the first dancing Master in our town, who created the first Union of choreography in our region and wrote Manual in ballroom dances “Dance can everybody”. Also, Professor Vechisty was entailed to the development and dissemination of ball-room dances in many countries. After the war, Marian Vechisty moves from Lviv to Krakow. Achievements of the followers of the Professor were really impressive, in particular, during “The VI World Festival of Youth and Students” in 1957 in Moscow, which results were concealed for a long time. Each of their performances became an enchanting show and brought victories.
