Menopoz Döneminde Başlayan Epilepsi: 5 Olgunun Sunumu

Abstract
Epilepsi sıklığı kadınlarla erkekler arasında eşit dağılım gösterir. Fakat erkeklerden farklı olarak menarş, gebelik, menopoz, hormon replasman tedavisi (HRT) ve oral kontraseptif kullanımı gibi durumlar kadınlarda epilepsinin seyrini etkileyebilmektedir. Literatürdeki az sayıdaki çalışmada daha önce herhangi bir epilepsi öyküsü olmayan kadınlarda da epilepsinin ilk olarak menopoz döneminde başlangıç gösterebildiği bildirilmektedir. Bu sunumda, epileptik nöbetlerin ilk olarak postmenopozal dönemde ortaya çıktığı 5 olgu tartışılacaktır.
