Abstract
The article defines the concept and describes the main elements of the mechanism of protection of personal data of an employee in accordance with the labor legislation of Ukraine; the analysis of the current state of legal regulation of the mechanism of protection of personal data of an employee; proposals have been worked out on the directions of improvement of labor legislation in this area.
