Academic entrepreneurship. Operational concepts and regional support system for spin-offs and spin-outs in Lesser Poland County

Abstract
This article presents the essence of academic entrepreneurship in American, Brit-ish and European contexts as well as the concept of companies merging science and economy. The issues discussed are the requirements and rules for establishing small tech companies, their goals and the strategies carried out by them. Also conducted was an assessment of the regional academic entrepreneurship assistance system in Lesser Poland County, in the scope of development barriers.
