MEDICINAL CHASMOPHYTES OF URUMBIKKARA HILLS, IDUKKI DISTRICT, KERALA, INDIA

Abstract

 ABSTRACT The present paper shows 45 species of medico-potential chasmophytes from Urumbikkara Hills of Idukki district, Kerala. These medicinal plants are used either their any part only or the whole plant for the treatment of different type of diseases by local people of Urumbikkara. This study highlights medico-potentiality of chamophytic species and their efficacy to cure various ailments. Key words: Chasmophytes, Medicinal uses, Urumbikkara Hills, Idukki, Kerala.
