Abstract
In the article, on the basis of source materials from the collections of the Central state historical archives of Ukraine (Kyiv), the State archives of Odessa region (oblast’), Odessa national scientific library, Russian state library (Moscow), Russian national library (Saint-Petersburg), Saint-Petersburg branch of Archive of Russian Academy of Sciences, – received documentary confirmation of unknown facts of the biography of a famous scientist of antiquity, Professor of Greek philology / classical philology of the Novorossiyskiy (Odessa) University L. F. Woewodsky (1846-1901)
