SOVIET-ENGLISH RELATIONS AT THE END AND AFTER THE END OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR (THE 7th OF NOVEMBER, 1917 – THE 18th OF JANUARY, 1919)

Abstract
In the given article, external political events, which are connected with the Bolsheviks` coming to power and the international society`s attitude to Soviet Russia since 7.11.1917 - to 18.01.1919, are analyzed. The research deals with not only with relations between separate states and governments, but military actions as well, including their consequences for territory integrity of the young Soviet Russia. Special attention in the given article is paid to the question of Soviet- British relations, international agreements` concluding, such as Brest peace treaty, The Treaty of Compiegne, and their influence on Soviet Russia and Britain`s external policy building. The comparative analysis of the Soviet, German, British and modern Russian literature on the given topic gives an opportunity to define significant differences in the approaches of the above-mentioned countries to the investigated question.
